Village public works and utility crews are responding to reports of tree damage across the community.  Please report any downed or damaged trees that are within the terrace (sidewalk) area to Village Hall.

"Class B" Retail Intoxicating Liquor Licenses

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that two (2) non-reserve "Class B" retail intoxicating liquor licenses have become available in the Village of New Glarus as of July 1, 2017.

To apply for one of these licenses please contact the Village Clerk's Office for necessary application/forms to be completed.  Applications must be received by August 3, 2017 and will tentatively then be considered by the Public Works/Public Safety Committee on August 9, 2017 for recommendation to the Village Board on August 15, 2017.

Request for Proposal: Refuse and Recyclables Collection, Processing and Disposal

The Village of New Glarus will receive sealed bids for collection, processing and disposal of refuse and recyclables.  Specific bid information may be obtained a the Office of the Village Clerk, 319 2nd Street, New Glarus, WI 53574 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, phone (608) 527-2510.

Bids will be received at the Village Administrator's Office, 319 2nd Street, New Glarus, WI until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2017 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The Village reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, to waive any technicality, and to accept any Proposal which it deems advantageous.  All Proposals shall remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the time set for opening Proposals.
