2024 PARK & RECREATION REGISTRATION OPEN: Registration is officially open for park and rec programming in the Village! BALLFIELD SIGN ADVERTISING PROGRAM: The Village of New Glarus is excited to bring back the Ballfield Sign Advertising Program for a second year! It's a great opportunity for local businesses to have a cost-effective advertisement all while supporting the Park and Recreation programs and park maintenance. SPRING ELECTION: The next election in the Village of New Glarus is the Spring Election on April 2. Voting and election information for Village residents can be found HERE.

DECLARATION OF NON-CANDIDACY:  Trustee, Chuck Phillipson, submitted a Declaration of Non-Candidacy on December 20, 2023.  Click here to view the attached document.

DOG & CHICKEN LICENSING: If you have a dog or chickens in the Village, a yearly license is required. The chicken licensing information can be found HERE.   Please complete the attached Dog Lic and mail or stop into Village Hall during normal business hours, for any questions please call Clerk's office at 608-527-2510.

COMPOST

The Village compost bunker located at the Village Garage (93 1st St) is OPEN. Only yard waste and brush less than 1" in diameter should be placed in the bunker. Just a reminder - yard waste should NOT be placed at the curb - it will not be picked up.  The bunker and brush pile is for Village residents only.

RECYCLING REMINDERS

ABOUT US

New Glarus was established as a Swiss Colony in 1845 and incorporated as a Village in 1901. The Village has retained its Swiss charm with Alpine-style architecture, ethnic festivals and Swiss delicacies. The Village is located in beautiful Green County in south central Wisconsin. We are just 28 miles south of Madison and 17 miles north of Monroe on State Highway 69.
