New Glarus Utilities will mark buried facilities within three working days of you contacting diggers hotline, unless the request is an emergency.  To ensure proper marking of underground facilities we recommend the following:

• Contact Diggers Hotline at least 3 business days before you plan to work.
• Give as much detail as possible about the work location to the Diggers Hotline representative.
• Outline the proposed excavation site(s) with white paint. 
• Keep your diggers hotline ticket number and marking instructions at the job site.

IMPORTANT:  If you have obtained a diggers hotline ticket number, and no markers or no clear flags appear from New Glarus Utilities by the work date, contact New Glarus Utilities prior to starting the work.
