Energy and water saving kits are a quick and easy way to reduce your utility bills. New Glarus Utilities has available, at no cost, kits available for pick up at the utility office located in Village Hall at 319 2nd Street during regular business hours.
It may make good economic sense to replace your old appliances. Newer and/or ENERGY STAR® qualified appliances may use half the electricity of a standard appliance and thus would reduce your monthly electric bill. In the store, ENERGY STAR® appliances are marked with their normal energy usage; which a consumer can use to compare to their current appliance’s energy usage which can be measured with a Watt’s Up meter.
New Glarus Utilities provides, at no cost, Watt’s Up Meters for check out at the New Glarus Public Library. These meters will allow you to measure your appliances monthly electrical usage and will convert usage into actual costs based on New Glarus Utilities rates.

New Glarus Utilities provides, at not cost, easy-to-read hot water gauge cards that show you the most cost-efficient temperatures for gas or electric water heaters. These cards can be picked up at the utility office located in Village Hall at 319 2nd Street.
